![]() ![]() I've been playing around with AP for the better part of the last week and I can't figure out how to do this. ![]() This blog will explain the process a lot better then I can, Specifically I need to be able to isolate colours, adjust their exposure/contrast ratio/ intensity and then create individual halftones layers/files/images at different frequencies (minimum size of the halftones to fit our screens for printing) and angles. This process won’t take you more than a minute and you’ll find yourself using it practically your whole life. ![]() But when we get more complicated artwork with lots of colours and shading, we have to create the shading and gradients using halftones to blend the colours. Frankentoon SeptemLearn how to use basically any image as a mask and how to apply it quickly and easily using Affinity Designer. for those of you who don't know how screen printing works, artwork with flat colours (1 shade and 1 tone, no gradients) are separated and burned as a negative into a screen, and the ink is then pushed through the screen to make the print. I really want to switch over all of our software at work from adobe (illustrator and photoshop) to affinity but before I can do that I need to be able to do some very specific things.ġ) I need to be able to separate colours, most of our artwork comes in vector form which is fine and I can do my colour sep in designer fine and even faster then illustrator in some cases because of the way designer handles certain things, but for when a client sends a low rez jpeg I need to be able to separate thing with a magic wand tool of some sort.Ģ) I need to be able to convert images to halftones with specific values. I bought bout affinity designer and photo for personal use so I could have a legit way to work on personal project and quickly fell in love with both products.
